DUKE

Duke – Duke is a 4.5 year old mantle Dane with cropped and standing ears. Duke showed up at a shelter in a rural area and thanks to the kindness of Homeward Trails rescue in Washington , D.C. , he came our way. Homeward Trails was kind enough to notify us of him, as well as drive the 8 hours each way to bring him to us. Duke is a sweet boy who seems to have been well taken care of and is looking for a forever home. Duke is not good with cats, as he thinks they may be a tasty treat; but he gets along with other dogs. He is good with children he has met, but he has not lived with any. Duke loves to go for rides in the car and enjoys the water, as well. He favors his back left leg due to an untreated injury when he was a pup, but it doesn’t slow him down a bit. He loves to run and is not good on a leash, but we are working on that. Duke came to MAGDRL in August 2004.
